Why is Satellite Radio different in some cars?

I was wondering if anyone can tell me why Sirius XM radio offers different channels in some cars and not in others? Example, I've driven a Cadillac SRX and a Mercedes C class and they both have the satellite radio on them. However, all the channels are not the same. Does anyone know why this would be? it would seem to me that all the channels should be the same however the Mercedes doesn't have all the channels that the SRX does...any thoughts?
