Internet Radio question

Are there free or inexpensive Internet radio players with station databases in plain text form so you could easily merge other station data?
I was able to get one program's station list into an Excel workbook and thnen delete thousands of stations not of interest. I'm not likely to ever listen to Cantonese or Estonian. The original software was buggy so now I'd like to use this database with something else.
